A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

(By Telegraph — Press Association.) ' GORE, Last Night. An accident occurred at the Gore saleyards to-day to an elderly man named Joseph Haggart, who resides at Croydon siding. Haggart was walking along the top planks of the cattlopens. His foot ? slipped when he was about to place it on the first rung of a plank ladder to reach the ground,. and the man fell to the ground, a distance of about seven feet,, striking the ground heavily with his head, Dr Rogers made an examination, which showed that Haggart was suffering from concussion of the spine. The doctor ordered his removal to the hospital, where a slight improvement in his condition was reported this evening.
