Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on -y; iheir sale/, held yesterday: We offered, a fair yarding of both- sheep and cat- [ tie to a good attendance •of buyers. Sheep were keenly competed for. In cattle and dairy heifers of the better sorts met with : a slightly better sale*. Yejuftngs were somewhat easier in prig!? We quote: i-tooth wethers 23s 7d, aged ewes with lambs at foot 21s, hoggets 17s 4d, dairy' heifers £4 ss, £4 12s 6d to £5 10s, mixed'year-' lings £2 7s to £2 12s 6d, -2-year 'steers £4 3s, store cows £3 10s, aged draught mare £l6 17s 6d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having held their usual fortnight|y sale at. Eketahuna on Friday, when there was a large attendance, and a good yarding of stock, for which there was good competition., and we report practically a total clearance under the hammer at the following • prices :—-Mixed hoggets 13s lid to 15s lOd, medium mixed hoggets lis 9d, fat wether and ewe 90s and 20s. Cattle: 12 months heifer® 355, yearling steers £2 13s 15-months do. £3 ss, 2 year do. £4 tp £4 Is, springing heifers £5 5s to £6. LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co/ Ltd., report having received the following cable message from their London house under date of the 23rd inst. :—Wool: At. the sales which were held to-day, prices for greasy wool remained unchanged; for slipes and" scoured, of fine and medium description, declined 5 pe: cent.
