A FIERCE CONFLICT.
AMERICAN AND POLISH MINERS (Received Last Night, 10.35 o'clock.) NEW, YORK, Sept. 23. A fierce conflict took place between Polish and American miners at Benton, Illinois, as the outcome of a. murder ' committed after a Polish dance. The militia were called l out, fearing general race riots, and quelled the disturbance. - Many were injured.
