Miss E. Kummer, of Wanganui, has been spending a week in Wellington. Miss Nance Sellar has gone to stay with Mors Percy MoHardy, o£ Palmerston North, for a few days. Mrs N. Macrae is at present staying with her mother, Mrs Tatbam, of Homewood. Mrs Chapman, of Victoria Street, left for Auckland yesterday for about six weeks' change. Mr and Mrs Lionel Oaselberg arrived by the midday train yesterday. Miss Fowler, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs Meredith, of "Llanclaff," for a few days. Miss Bristow has been spending a few days with Mrs C. Vallance. Mrs Donald Donald and Miss Gower are guests of Mrs Morrison, of Blahlpgie. They return ,on., Tuesday to their home. Mr and Mrs Sheath are the guests of Mrs Ewart, of the Upper Plain. A wedding of considerable interest was solemnised at Si. Anne's Church, Newtown, Wellington, on Wednesday, September 17th, the contracting parties being Mr John Russell Physick, second son of Mr Charles Physick, and Emily, fourth daughter of Mr George Allen, Smith Street,■ Mastert6&7 The bride, who was given away b/ her father, looked charming in a navy blue costume, and large picture hat with ostrich plumes. Miss Sophie Allen, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and-Mr H. Allen was best man: The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Herring. The happy couple received numerous and costly presents from the Wairarapa and Wellington "districts, where they are popularly known. Mr and Mrs Physick left for Wanganui, where the honeymoon is being spent. '(: <
