VALEDICTORY.
MB 0. IBBETSON. Knox Church members rolled up in good force last evening in compliment to Mr. Charles Ibbetson. who leaves Masterton to accept a good position in Napier. Mr Ibbeteon has been one of the most active members of Knox Church. He has been an enthusiasthe member of the choir, an influential manager, and in all branches of church work be has displayed great enthusiasm, and ha* won the respect of all who knew him. Besides taking a great interest "in church work he was secretary of the No-license Lea. gue, and . was., connected . with th» Y.M.C.A. and other promient institutions in the town, and his place will not be easily filled. The competitions and music were much enjoyed' at the eodtfl, and refrestmennts provided by the ladies were greatly appreciated. The Rev. A. T. Thompson spoke of the good qualities of Mr Ibbetson, who feelingly respond-, ed. the close the audience sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow." .
