THE CONSECRATION CEREMONY. An important event in the history •of'the Anglican Church in Masterton Is to be celebrated to-morrow, when, the handsome new brick Church ia to V be consecrated by His Lordship Bia- . hop Sprott. Fittingly enough, the . day chosen for the ceremony is St. Matthew's Day. Holy Communion ' will be celebrated in the old church • *t 8 a.m. The consecration service Vill be hekLin. ihe new Church at jf0.30 a.m., the Bishop of Wellington -•officiating. -A children's service will' . he held at 3 p.m., a baptismal eer- \\:[ vice at 4 p.m. and t evensong at 7 ' p.m. Tb>e anthem "Light up Your Heads" (Messiah) will be sung at •evensong, and the sermon- will be - preached by Bishop Sprott. A confirmation service will ber held on Mon•day evening, and special services will ; be held on every evening throughout the week in the new church.
