<'DARRY-PEARCE BOAT RACE.'
The screening of the current pro-, gramme at the T.l'. Electric Theatre. last evening was responsible for another large audience. The "BarryPea rce Boat Race," a fine film, which shows the race from start to finish, proved very popular with the audience and was as good as being on the spot to witness the race. The big drama of the programme was a Power's Company release entitled "The Tramp Reporter," which opened up a new field in animated Tomance, A n exceptionally fine lot of dramas were shown in support, including the Lubiu domestic drama entitled "The Burden," and a Western item entitled "The Moonshiner's Wife," also a Lubin production. The Kalem Company had an item in "The Eighth Notch]' which told the story of a bitter feud. The remaining drama was a Lux production entitled "By the Aid of Wire- ' less." A very fine New Zealand, 'scene was shown in "Rapids in New Zealand." Other scenics include "The Valley of Magua." A number of interesting comedies were shown, among which were "Billy's Insomnia," "All's Fair," "Ferdie, .be Brave," and "The Prima Donna's 1 Dupe!""' This fine programme willbe repeated this evening. . There will be a big matinee at 2.30 on. Saturday afternoori.' For Saturday's- change .the. management announce the screening- of two big featured in- "The I Court Dancer" and "Redemption."
THE NORWOODS
Professor Norwood, who opens a three nights' season on Monday next, September 22nd, at , the Town Hall, has recently concluded a most successful season at the Opera House, Wellington, where he (added fresh triumphs to his already famous career as a public entertainer. He will be assisted by Miss Winifred tfdrwoocf, and together they will produce several new features nightly in their hypnotic and mental telepathic entertainment. On Monday afternoon Professor Norwood will perform his marvellous blindfold hypnotic drive, starting from the post office at 4 p.m. He will allow a committee of business men to hide "a small article. Mr Norwood will then get int® the carriage, and after being securely blindfolded, will drive the jteam at a rapid pace and find the hidden article. This interesting' test in thought-transference establishes . the reputation of Professor Norwood' as a mind-reader. The box plan is at the Dresden, where reserved seats may be secured.
