Miss Balmor, of Feilding, is making a lengthy stay with Mrs Preshaw, of Brackenfield, Te Wharau.
Mrs Henry and Miss Maunsell returned from Napier yesterday.
Miss McKane, of the Lower Hutt, is at present on a visit to Masterton.
Mr and Mrs William Allan, of Wellington, have been spending a few days with friends at Gladstone.
Mrs Ewart Anderson has been chosen a delegate to represent the Masterton branch of tlio Reform League at the coining conference to be held in Wellington in October.
Miss Ma reliant, formerly the principal of the Dunedin Girls'. High School, and daughter of Mr J. W. A. Marchant, ex-Surveyor-General, arrived in Wellington on Wednesday on her return from a visit to England and the Continent. Miss Marchant has been away for the last two years, and. during the course of her travels, visited the Holy Land.
