Times' — 'Sydney Sun' Cables. (Received Sept. 16, 8.30 a.m.) QUEBEC, Sept. 15. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Whakatane, 5754 tons gross, collided with a wharf while entering the harbour and went ashore. Her position is not dangerous, and it is expected that she will soon be floated off [The Whakatana is commanded by Captain Barnes. She has been trad-ing-fo Now Zealand from London and Canadian ports for a number of years, and was last ldading here in May of this year. She left Lyttelton on une sth, via Rio de Janeiro, and proceeded from the Home port to load at Montreal for New Zealand. She had probably just arrived in Canada from London when the mishap occurred.]
