PRACTICAL POLITICS.
Mr George FowMs, who was,' one of' the gentlemen whd begged leave to withdraw fro.'n the Unity Congress, promoted by the Red Feds, in July last,, iaf now deyofing himself to a crusade in advocacy o£ what he terms "Practical Politics for. the People-," Here is an excerpt from one of his recent articles:— y ..-■•■ ■". ,
* "The labour question hag gone beyond the stage of wages and conditions. It is no longer a mere matter of so much per hour and so many hours per day. Nothing "short of securing to each worker the full product of his labour will now suffice. Nothing short of the abolition of every vestige of exploitation /cm solve the problem and , avert by force. Inortlerto abolish erery vestige of exploitation we miist, whenever we can, abolish the monopolies that make such exploitation possible, and; wherever tlie abolition of these monopolies is not possible they must be owned * and controlled by the'public for the ' benefit of all, not held by a privileged few for the advantage of a few."
When Mr Fowlds has a few moments to spare, he may tell us how the "full, product of-each, worker's labour a& going to be ascertained, and how he- proposes abolishing the mo»nopolies. Itoes he propose doing away entirely witih the employing system? If he does, will he immediately divest himself of his own business, and divide the profits, if any, among his employees?
