HEAVENLY VISITOR.

METEORITE FALLS INTO A RIVER. HUGE BURST OF STEAM. (Received September o, 1 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 4. News from Fall River, Massachusetts, states that a meteorite into the Seaconnet River, throwing a huge vyave high into the air. The wave was followed by a thick burst of steam.

The noise of the fall was heard 20 miles away. Windows in houses nearby were smashed, and houses shaken. The river is too deep to permit of the meteorite being recovered.
