SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
TO A RAILWAY PORTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last fright. A railway porter named Robert Ark might wag the victim of a serious accident at the Lower Hutt this evening. He was assisting in shunting, and while riding on a car he apparently slipped as he attempted to jump off at the signal box. He suffered a compound fracture of the left leg and a flesh wound on the right leg. He was brought to the city by special train, and sent to the hospital.
