HOCKEY.

- WAIRARAPA 3 r. BUSH 0. There was a fair attendance of the public, at Lansdowne yesterday, when the Wairarapa "B" team met and easily defeated tho Bush Districts' Sub-union by three goals to nil. The Bush team showed plenty of form, but lacked tho finer points of tho game, and although they had Wairarapa defending at times, they were always struggling hard against great odds. Early in the first spell Hatch notched two goals for the home team, and half time sounded without addition to the score. In the sec«nd spell the .homo team were attacking continuously, and but for bad shooting should have iscored on many occasions. Tho only other score resulted from a fine run by Williams just before tine was called. The winners were suporior in every department of the game, the visitors being frequently penalised for breaches of the rules. Mr J. Gray ably controlled the game.

JUNIOR. DALEFIELD 1 v. GREYTOWN 0. This game, for the final of the junior championship, waa a ding-dong go from start to finish. Grey town attacked early in the first spell, and should have scored on two occasions, but their shooting was at fault. At half-time neither side had scored, and as predicted, a great struggle for supremacy ensued in the second spell. Both teams showed senior form, but were too evenly matched. At the call of time no score had resulted, and an extra spell of twenty minutes was played by arrangement. It looked .anybody's game throughout, and Daiefield were very fortunate in scoring just before time was up, and the most interesting junior game of hockey witnessed this season resulted in a win for Daiefield by one goal to nil. Corbett shot the goal. Mr A. Pragnell refereed.
