Miss C. Balmer, of Feilding, is the guest of Miss Kummer, of Kunrneretein.. Mrs Broad and Mrs Cooper went to Wellington on Tuesday for a few days. Mrs Harden is spending several weeks in Marton with her mother. The Misses Pilmer, who have been staying with Mrs Mace, of Branraierton, are now the guests of Mrs C. Yallance, of Kahumingi. Miss Turfcon has gone to Wellington for three weeks' holiday. Mrs Hislop, jun., of Wellington, is staying with Mrs Francis. Mr and Mrs F. H. Elcoate are at present staying at "Brooklyn." Mr A. W. Jackson, formerly of Napier, but now of Pahiatua, who has been spending a holiday in Hawke's Bay, returned home on Tuesday. The engagement is announced of Miss Mahella Hooker, eldest daughter <rf Mr R. Hooker, of College Street, Palmerston North, to Mr W. W. Mansfield, jun., of Carterton. Misa of Hastings, who has been on & visit to friends in Masterton, has returned home.
Miss of Wellington, has been visiting friends in. Masterton. Mr and Mrs Walter Cameron, of Masterton, are at present on a visit to Wellington. Mrs Barrow, of Petone, is visiting friends in Masterton just now. Lord and Lady Emmott, of the British Parliamentary Party, are the guestg-of Lord and Lady Liverpool in Wellington. Miss Doris Nidholls, of Wanganui, is. on a visit to her sister, Mrs Harley Donald, of Masterton. Dr Maclaurin, Dominion Analyst, with Mrs Maclaurin, leaves Wellington for Australia to-day. They expect to be away for several months.
