PAHIATUA, Last Night. • During the.past season, the Ballanoe Co-operative Dairy Company manufactured 527 tons of butter, for a total returns £60,480 2s 7d. This, compared with the figures for the 1911-12 season, represents an increase of five tons in the output, and an advance of £l2'o 18s 4d. The realisations, which, considering lower prices ruling for butter on the London market, is considered highly satisfactory, establishing as it does a double record for the company under unfavourable conditions. The directors note that a portion of the output was consigned Home, while a quantity was sold to Vancouver, and the remainder sold in New Zealand. The price realised per lb. for the year's output was 12 2-9 d, as compared with. 12 l-6d for the previous season. The payments to shareholders for the season wetre Is Ofd. per lb. and Is lid for August.. Th.e company is now engaged forming a Cow Testing Association, by which it is hoped, without any increase in the herds, to increase the returns to suppliers by over £isjooo per annum.
