BIG PRICE REFUSED. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, August 16. The newspaper "Sportsman" states that Colonel Hall-Walker has- refused £30,000 fop the stallion White, Eagle. The Russian Government has- purchased the stallion Minora from the same owner. (Minoru won the Derby when leased bv the late King Edward.)

AUSTRALIAN RACING. ADELAIDE, August 17. The South Australian Grand National Hurdles resulted as follow: —• Hardruda 1, Master Miller 2, Katingawa 3. There were fifteen starters. Hardruda led all the way. He stumbled at the last hurdle, but ca-ne on and won by a, length and a half. Time, 4min 50sec. Tho Guineas resulted as follows: — Kildalton 1, River Prince 2, Anndell 3. Time, lmih 45see. BRISBANE, August 17. At the Queensland Turf Club's meeting the Exhibition Handicap resulted as follow: —Oaksfield 1, Goard 2, Eranquala 3.
