IN COMMITTEE.
HOSPITAL BOARD AND PRESS. REPORTERS REQUESTED TO LEAVE. . v At the conclusion of the ordinary business of the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board yesterday, Mr A. D. McLeod stated that he wished to bring before the Board the question of certain appointments that had been made to the -Greytown Hospital. He asked that the matter be taken in committee'. The Chairman: Very well, the Board is in committee.
The representative of the Age (who was taking information from the reports of the sanitary inspectors) asked if it was desired that the reporters should leave the ,room. The Chairman: Does Mr McLeod ask tbat the reporters; be requested to leave,the room?
Mr McLeod (emphatically) : Yes! In view of what has been published during the last day or two, they should not be allowed to remain. The reporters then left. 'Jlie Board subsequently decided to refer the matters mentioned by Mr McLeod to the sub-committee appointed by the Central Committee, with authority to furnish a report of the inquiry to the Press.
