BOARD OF AGRICULTURE.
lt is stated that 'the Government is making arrangements to set up an electoral college, which will be entrusted with the duty of electing eight representatives from the A. and P. Associations of the Dominien to sit on the proposed Board of Agriculture. We have no doubt that the claims of the Wairarapa to representation on this Board will .be fully considered, and we know of no gentleman whose appointment would give more general satisfaction than that of Mr William Perry, of Penrose. Mr Perry is one of the most successful breeders of stud 6tock in the Dominion. He is young, energetic, and full of enthusiasm for the pastoral and agricultural industries. He has been President of the Masterton A. and P. Association, Chairman of" a County Council, and an observant public man, with progressive ideas. He is just the of man who is .wanted for the position, and it is with no disrespect to the numerous other enterprising settlers in the Wairarapa that we urge his claims to a seat on tlie Boaid.
