MOTOR 'BUS SERVICES.
The movement that is being mad.e in Pahiatua, Eketahuna, and other districts in' the direction of establishiiig motor 'bus services with outlying areas, should stimulate . the enterprising residents of Masterton to action in the saiwe direction. It seems to us inexplicable that the splendid country, surrounding Masterton should continue to be served with the obsolete coaches. The whole of the district 1 between this centre and the East Coast should be brought into closer communication with the centre. There should at least be a daily service to and from Oastlepoint, which is one of the finest wateringplaces in the Dominion. A quicker means of transit, and a more frequent mail sei-vice, would give an impetus to trade, and would enhance the Value of surrounding properties. We believe there is sufficient enterprise in Masterton to establish- a motor service that would cover the district: The sooner .steps are taken in this direction, the better will it be for the whole community. All that is necessary is for some smart broker or business man to set the ball rolling.
