INTERESTING DISCOVERIES. CANCER AND RADIUM. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, August 9., At the Medical Congress professor Elilich described the efforts of his famous drug "ssrivnrsan" on the disease which has for years been the scourge of, the tropics. Single injections ~ had, he said, cured )three hundred, patients. The same results were recurring in respect to the feverforms of malarial ■ ' Professor Vincent on the anti-typhoid, inoculations in 1912 of the French troops in Morocco. Sixteen , per cent of the non-inoculated troops had contracted the disease, against one in five thousand of the inoculated. Br Barlow, of the Middlesex Hospital, in the. course of a discussiori, on cancer, stated that> he had found radium elements ,in considerable numbers in cancer cases.
