AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL.
A MASTERTON RESERVE. Acting oii the statement made in the Wairarapa Age on Saturday morning, Mr D. McGregor moved at the meeting of the Masterton A. and P. Association on Saturday afternoon, that the Government ba urged to set aside the reserve in the vicinity of Masterton for the purposes-of-an ng'riculiunl high school. Mr McGregor explained what had boon done at the Agricultural Conference in regard to education. BotKt>f;the M«<sterton rernjts had,- been .carried, and ,ha thought tliey" should take the lead in recommending something f urthor. The lease of the education reserve of about one hundred acres, near. Masterton, would shortly be falling in, and it would bo necessary to take immediate action if this wait to be set .aside for the .purpose .. of a schorl. Mr McGregor regarded it as essential that they should have some institution between tho prrnary school and. tho College. He did not think it. nccessiry that they should disestablish tho .District High School. Mr Hugh Morrison seconded the resolution. Mr W. H. Jackson urged the importance of inducing the Government to set aside the reserve that had been referred to. The motion was carried unanimously.
