Macintosh and Co.), report having held their xisual monthly salo iif T their Tauherenikau sale, yards on Friday, August Ist, 1913 when they Offered a good yarding of sheep and; cattle well ajbove advertised numbers. The following prices were realised:— Four, 6 and 8-tooth ewes in lamb to S.D. 18s, woolly lambs 12s, small woolly lambs 10s 9d, backward empty ewes 7s 7d, small 2-tooth wethers 12s to 12s 6d, 2-tooth ewes in lamb 13s sd, small lambs Bs. Young dairy cows, £6 2s 6d, £6 ss, £6 17s 6d to £7 2s 6d; 3-year steers £6 ss, empty oows £2 14s to £3 2s 6d, cull cows 31s, empty 2-year heifers £2 15s to £3 8s 6d, lfrtnonths heifors 355, yearUng heifers 27s 6d, springing heifers £6 5e to £6 14s. MARKET REPORT. 'Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received cabled advice from their London office dated July 31st, 1913: " . Frozen Meat. —Demand is sustained, but sales are being forced. Prices are Jd to Jd per lb lower for lamb. For beef, hindquarters are lower by Jd ; forequarters are unchanged. Tallow. —Mutton: Good to prime, par to 3d per cwt higher; ."nixed, good to prime, 6d to 9d per cwt higher; low and inferior descriptions, 3d to 6d per cwt higher. Beef tallow: Market is neglected. LONDON MARKETS. '' The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 30th ult. : Talloiv.—We quote present spot values for the following .descriptions : Good mutton 38s 3d per cwt; good beef 36s per cwt; mixed 34s per cwt; The market is firm. ~, .. Wheat.—We have sold an Australian cargo.at 27s 0.1. F. The market is steady owing to fine weather. Buyers are holding, off, and the mar.ket is not likely to improve at present.
