OPENING OF INQUEST. (SYDNEY "SUN" SPECIAL.) (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, August 3. At the inquest on the bodies of the children supposed to have been murdered by their father (Robertson) at Haekney, Phoebe Smith gave .evidence that the resided at Robertson's. In reply to a query on 28th June, Robertson said his children were alright. He said a man had taken them that morning. They would stay lor the afternoon, and go to the Salvation Army. Robertson declared that he was not stopping in the house, because the landlord had not repaired it. He said he could not tolerate the children crying. Witness identified the blankets the children were wrapped in as Robertson's property. The inquest was adjourned.
