MOVING PICTURES.
The Wellington Education Board , is cpnsideririg. the question of: exhibiting:: moving pictures ,in the schools; under its jurisdiction. A .suggestion in this direction was made by Mr A. W. Hogg a year or two back. ; The difficulty, however, would be-in procuring machines that would not be •.obsolete in a very short while. There is nothing that is undergoing more rapid change than the moving picture business, and nothing „that is more capable of development. In the course of a year* or two we shall have speaking pictures, which will be quite a revolution. The Education Board would be well-advised in postponing action for a while. One --can appreciate the assistance that moving pictures would be in imparting education in . history and geography, trat it must be remembered that 'there is a financial side to the, question, and. in these days of money-tightness the Education Board eannot. escape . its responsibility in this connection. <
