THE PEACE CONFERENCE) CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES. (Received Last Night, 11.40 o'clock.) BUCHAREST, July 31. M. Maioreeco, the Roumanian Premier, was elected to the Presidency of the Peace Conference. After his opening speech, M. Yenizelos, the Greek delegate, announced that he had accepted the proposal to suspend hostilities, which it was agreed should be for five days, after his army experts had been consulted. Mr F. J). Acland, Parliamentary Undersecretary to the Foreign Office, in reply to a question in tll& Mouse of Commons, stated that the Powere were considering the Turkish reoccupation of Thrace. Britain did not propose to take separate action", but the Government hbd warned Turkey not to expect Britain to protect her from the result' of her vio- ; lent action.
