AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION
DISCUSSED BY A. AND P. CONFERENCE. (By Tsbgraph- —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night; Agricultural education ■ was discussed by the Agricultural Conference to-day, when Mr D. McGregor, of Masterton, moved, "That this Conference is of opinion that one fullyequipped Agricultural College would be 'better for New Zealand than tflfo or three smaller ones, and that the Government be requested to give effect to the recommendation of the Education Commission." It was suggested; by one of the speakers that Lincoln College should be subsidised by the Government as the Agricultural College of the South Island, and that a College ought to be established in the North Island. The motion was carried. It was also decided, on the motion of Mr D. McGregor, "That as soon as the 1 attendance in the secondary department of a District High School in an agricultural or pastoral district reaches an average of fifty, an agricultural High School should be established on the tines of those recently set up in Victoria and New South Wales."
