Mr Robert Inman, who is always a favourite, took the leading character of Manuel Errington, and iMiss Constance Crew that of Mra Errington. The remaining caste was very strong. The scenic effects were, remarkably good, describing, the procurer's apartments, the city clubs, astreet tin the West End, a hut by the river Thames, and the village of" Closeminster. The plot of the piece was followed with intense interest, and the play was pronounced to bo; one of the beat ever witnessed :ia Masterton.
