VACCINATION OF CHILDREN.

Although' the medical evidence showed that the cause of death was an affection of the bowels, there is reason to think that the child might not have suocumbed had it not "been vaccinated. In his. evidence at inquest, one of the medical men stated that he would not. have vaccinated the child had he Mown it to bo suffering from an internal complaint The Hastings caws points a moral. The publio vaccinators, while they should innoculate with lymph wherever possible as a preventative of small-pox, should exercise- the most scrupulous care in ascertaining whether Jihe person to be-vaccinated is in a healthy condition The parents of the children, also, refuse to allow their children ,iF they showsigns of weakness, to ■ visit' tSfe vaccinator.
