WAIPOUA STOCK SALE. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co. Ltd (late Jas. Macintosh and Co.), report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua sale yards, Masterton, on Wednesday, July 30th., 1913, when they offered a very heavy yarding of sheep well above advortis-1 ed numbers, which met with fair competition, and the bulk of the ya: ding changed hands at prices right p to late rates. The cattle entry w;is only fair, and competition being dull, there was not much sold. Piitos realised were as follows: Four ai.d 6tooth ewes in lamb to Lincoln ia ma 20s, 2-tooth to f.m. Romney ewe -; in lamb to S.D. 20s 9d, 2-tooth Lincoln owes in lamb to Romney rams 18s 6d, 4-tooth to f.m. ewes in lamb to S.D. 17s Bd, f.m. ewes in lamb to S.D. and Homney 13s, 13s 4d, 13s 7d to 15s Id; f.m. ewes in lamb to Romney 12s 4d to 15s 4d, f.m. empty owes 10s 7d, lis 8d to 12s 3d; 2, 4 and 6-tootli empty ewes 14s, cull ewes 6s 3d, woolly hoggets lis Id, 12s 6d to 12s lid. Small shorn lambs 6s 2d to 7s 'd, 2-tooth wethers 14s 9d to 15s 3d, fat wethers 20s 9d to 21s 6d, fat lambs ) 14s Id to 14s 6d, fat ewes and wethers 18s Id. Dairy cows £5 12s 6d, store cows £3 10s to £4. Bulls £4.
PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Mesßrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having held their usual weekly sale at Pahiatua on Tuesday, the 29th inst., when there was a large attendance, and only, a fair yarding of stock, of which we made a totalclearance at the following prices :-r Mixed hoggets 12s, 12s 6d to 14s; 2tooth ewes in lamb to Romney hams 18s 7d; fat weathers 21a Id. •Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Pahiatua stock sale held on Tuesday, 29th inst.: — We had a very heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle, including two dairy herds. The bidding on the whole for sheep and cattle was slightly easier ■both hoggets and ewes showing a decline on late rates. We quote as follows : * 2-tooth ewes in lamb 18s 3d to 19b, 4, 6-tooth and f.m. ewes in lamb 15s to 17s 3d, cull ewes in lamb to 9s 3d, ewe hoggets 9s 3d to 18s,' wether hoggets Bs, 8s lOd to 9s, mixed hoggets lis 6d, 12s, 12s 7d to 12s 9d, store cows £2, £2 10s, £3 6s to £4, dairy cows £6 15s, £7 to £lO 108, heifers in calf £6 to £7 10s, weaner steers 13s to 265, weaner heifers 28s 6d to 395. V Seventeen cows sold on behalf of Mr James Igoe made the good average of £7 2s 6d. f , '' ■ SOLWAY STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report :s*■ We had a fair entry of sheep and large one of dairy oows at Solway yesterday.. Thpre was a large attendance of buyers, and competition for the sheep was fairly keen, though oows were rather dull of sale, but nevertheless, we made a good clearance at the following rates: 'Four, 6, and 8-tooth ewes in lamb to Linooln rams 22s Id,-good sound ewes 16s 6d to 19s, 2-tooth ewes and wethers 15s 6d, small hoggets 9s 6d, dairy oows £4 13s to £6 15s, and a line of 2year old Jersey heifers in calf £5 15s. We also offered on account of Mr J. Shaw, horses, implements and sundries, which met with a ready sale as follows: Four-year old draught horse £45, 6-year old do. £4l, 7-year ] °ld do. £4O, and others from £33 to ; £35, pong £7, dray £l4, plough £lO 10s, harrows £5, and harness, tar- . paulins and sundries at full market rates. SOLWAY SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having "held their usual weekly sale at b'oiway on Wednesday, the 30th inst.,. when there was only a small yarding of stock, which realised the following prices: Weaner heifers 355, yearling Holstein bull £2 7s 6d, forward empty cows £4 4s, choice springing heifers £7 15s to £9, dairy cows (due Sept.} £7 10s, choice Holstein dairy cow £l3 2s 6d. CLEARING SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., in conjunction with the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., re-i port having held a liighly successful' sale on behalf of Mt J. Todd, Papa- • tawa, when they offered the whole of ; his dairy herd to a good attendance of buyers. The cows were in splendid condition and the majority were early calyers, the whole herd making the splendid average of £8 10s, the top price being £ll 2s 6d. Early calvers £9 2s 6d to. £ll 2s 6d, latef' §QTts from £6 to £9, late calvers £4 to £6 15s, heifers in calf £4 to £8 13s 6d, hacks to £9.
