vaccination depots busy. BUSINESS HOUSES SUFFER. (Received Last Night, 9.25 o'clock.) SYDNEY, July 18. All the vaccination depots are again very busy, foreshadowed compulsory measures having had an effect. Many of the vaccinees are having a bad time. Large numbers are absent from work, and unable to use their arms, which is proving a serious handicap to business houses. The authorities state that nearly all the patients, go far, were never vaccinated. They add that anyone recently vaccinated would resist the present epidemic. DEPOTS IN MELBOURNE. (Received Last Night, 9.25 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, July 18. Five vaccination-depots have been opened in the city, and there has been a great rush of applicants. POLICE FORCE AFFECTED. ALSO NEWSPAPER STAFFS. . SYDNEY, July 18. The police force has been much reduced owing to the vaccinations: Over, two hundred are off duty. 1 - The newspaper office staffs are similarly reduced, numbers of pressmen being hors de combat. Everywhere in the streets people are cautiously nursing their left arm. Many complaints are made that doctors are too free in the use of lymph. Tubes which should be sufficient for a dozen, are exhausted by less than half a dozen. SUPPOSED CASE IN QUEENSLAND. (Received Last Night,' 9.25 o'clock.) BRISBANE, July 18. A man at Toowoomba, who arrived from Sydney three weeks ago, has developed supposed small-pox. He has been, isolated, and strict precautions have been taken. TWO fresh CASES. Received This Morning, 12,25 o'clock. SYDNEY, July 18. Only on<* small-pox case was reported in Sydney to-day. A case was also reported from. th Ulimaroa.
