SABBATH OBSERVANCE.
A FAR-REACHING BILL. INTRODUCED IN THE COMMONS. (SYDNEY "SUN" SPECIAL.) (Received Last Night, 6.10 o'clocks LONDON, July 18. In the House of Commons, a Weekly Rest Day Bill was introduced. lender its provisions, Sunday employment is made unlawful, with certain exemption. The Bill prohibits the sale of tobacco and newspapers for more than two hours in the day; work on newspapers before six o'clock in the evening, the sale of bread after ten o'clock in the morning and milk after 10.30. The use of bathing machines is prohibited between ten o'clock and three. Jews are exempted on condition that they close from nightfall on Friday till nightfall on Saturday, provided that their customers and assistants are Jews.
