MR W. J. BRYAN.
WILL LECTURE TO ADD TO HIS SALARY. (SYDNEY "SUN" SPECIAL.) (Received July 17, 8.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 16. It is stated that the decision by Mr W. J. Bryan, United States Secretary of State, that it will be necessary to add to his salary by lecuring will cost him thousands of votes at future elections. He has always posed as a champion of the poor Western voters, who will now hold that their idol has been corrupted by the effete East. [A previous message stated that Mr Bryan, declaring that he was unable to live on £2400 a year,- was starting on a lecturing tour.]
