GRAfID NATIONAL STEEriMCHASE. WON BY LEAH KLESHNA. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, July 13. The Grand National Steeplechase resulted:— Leah Kleshna, 11.5 (Morgan'. 1 Statecraft, 9.5 (Burns) 2 Coradrill, 9.6 (Hawkins) ...... 3 All started.. Miser was the first to move. At the abattoirs Statecraft led Lenh Kleshna. The ranks were reduced by Bigbob falling and Guncap losing hie rider. There wa<s little change along the side, where Statecraft was half a length in front of Leah Kleehna, followed by Miser, United Kingdom, Bullawarra, and Captain Jingle. The last-named came to grief at the next fence. United Kingdom took charge at the back, but fcjl when approaching the abattoirs. Leah Kleshna led Statecraft by six lengths into the straight, and going on won by four lengths, a similar distance between second and third. Bullawarra was fourth. Time, 6min 24-2<sec. Doultagalla Hurdles.—Wimmera 1, Ljght Ballast 2, Forest Prince 3. Nine starters. Wimmera led throughout and won .by a length, a head separating second and third. Time, 4min 18Jsec.
