FIRE ON A STEAMER.

NO SERIOUS DAMAGE. (By Telegraph — Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. While the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Otaki was bunkering in the stream yesterday afternoon, a fire was discovered in one of her bunkers. The coal was removed, a.nd the seat of the outbreak located. After 6ome hours' work the fire was extinguished. The vessel suffered no structural injury and sailed for Tokoma.ru Bay this morning to continue loading. The fire is attributed to the fusing of an electric wire.
