NO FRESH DEVELOPMENTS. DISCLAIMER BY ANTTMILITARJSTS. (By Telegraph—Press' Association.) CHRISTCHURCH Last Night. There are no fresh developments to-day in connection with the attempted gelignite outrage at King Edtaard Barracks on Wednesday night, and tbw-identity of miscreants who planned the affair is so far unknown. It is understood, however, that indications point in a certain direction. It is stated that no finger-prints were obtainable, ag "the biscuit tin, which was used as a screen for the candle, was old and rusty.
„ This morning Mr W. T. Horne called at the News Office, and stated that he wished, on behalf of the anti-mili-tarists that he represented, to disclaim all. knowledge of the gelignite affair. It was not true, he said, that, the anti-militarists had threatened damage to the King Edward barracks. He stated that he had threatened to anarcih on Ripa Island at the head of 500 mem -if the "boys" detaained there Were not released, and in this connection he had received a telegram from the Minister of 3e fence, • expressing the hope tliat he would do nothing of the sort, M* Home stated that he had visited Ripa Island last Wednesday, and had found thati the youths there were treated and fed well enough. H' thought that they had nothing to compl'ain of beyond the fact that they were in detention. He remarked that the food was good and wholesome, and better than he got himself sometimes..
