"RED FEDS" AND OTHER FEDS.
It is cfuita clear that, as a result of the adoption of a revolutionary Constitution by tho Unity Congress 'at Wellington, all hope of the Labour forces in iNew Zealand being oombined have been completely 'Shattered. The industrial orgianitsatian under the oontrol of Messrs Serople and Hiokey, and the political under the guidance of Messrs Tregear and W. T. -Milts, will have a poor chance of success unless they secure the support'of tho Radicals of the oountry. The Radicals and Social Democrats are not. removed by many degrees, and it may ha ppen that a, com promise will' be arranged. If feuch an event should, transpire, the moderate Liberals of tlie House will bo compelled, for their own preservation, to join forces with the Reform Party. Any attempt that might be made.to resuscitate the "Lib-Labs." must fail, for the reason that Labour will not trust its destiny to the alleged Liberals. It has had one experience of Liberal domination, and it does not want another. ISo far as the position can be discovered at present, Labour, as an organised political force will not require to. 'be reckoned with for some time to oome, and "Liberalism," as it hag been known for the past twenty yeara, is dead. The Reform Patfty has very little to be concerned about, so long as it steers clear of the rocks of Conservatism.
