FEDERAL ELECTIONS.
COST OF AN ELECTION. (Received June 30. 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 30^ Mr Cook, Federal Prime Minister, speaking at Parramatta, said the elections had cost the country Over one hundred thousand pounds. It was a costly matter to appeal to the electorate, but whatever happened, they were prepared for it. If the Government was allowed to go on, .u. right; if not, nothing would be left but to spend another hundred thousand on a further appeal.
