COLONIALS IN LONDON.
PATRIOTIC SPEECHES. (Received Last Night 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, June 28. Three thousand ooloniaj visitors accepted invitations to a reception given to the High Commissioners and Agents-General by Captain and Mrs Boyd-Oarpenter, The Hon. T. Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, replying to the toast of the "Dominions," wid Niew Zealand aspired to a share in the Empire's responsibility, and he hoped to see the day when the yari11s units would have >a voice in the management of the Empire. Sir George Reid, High Oommissionr er for the Commonwealth, proposed the toast of '"The Motherland." The Duke of Argyle, in replying, referred to the valuable lessons taught by the Empire's daughters overseas. If Britain, he said, had such admirable systems of Government as the colonies, she might find a way out of h«r present difficulties, and which would entirely satisfy Ireland.
