"THE GOD OF VENGEANCE."

Last evening, despite the incle'neni cy of the weather, a large audience assembled at the T.P. Electric Theatre to witness the change of programme, and every itom wag well received, the star itom, "The God of Vengeance," being a. really tip-top number. This big feature, which is 3500 feet in length, is one of the most wonderful dramas yet screened. It has a remarkable plot in which superstition, love, hatred and fanaticism are the predominating features. The main feature in the play, is of a mystic jewel stolen from an Eastern idol, and ha* all the fascination which clings to the East and its mysteries. Thrilling and exciting scenes.follow one "another in quick succession, for the ruthless efforts of the members of the sect to recover the sacred relic, form a film of most unusual interest. A fine detective story will be given in the Kaleni Company's production of "Red Sweeney's Mistake," while "A Faithful Indian" will provide the Western element. The Lubin Coy. will be represented in a long comedydrama entitled "Keeping up Appearances." In this film we are given a rather humorous view of how two young people who had just met pretended to one another to be rich, whereas both were very poor. The story is most interesting, and has a desired ending. "The Timber Industry in Canada" will provide an item of general interest and other fine filmic studies will be "Weary Ihroin," "Tear s Not Shed in Vain," and "Ragtime Mad." This 'series : will be repeated to-night.
