WAIRARAPA LICENSING BENCH
THE ANNUAL .MEETING. The Wairarapa Licensing Committee held its annual meeting at Carterton yesterday, Mr L. G. Reict, S.M., presiding, and there being also present: Messrs W. Udy, W. Miller,' H. R. Bunny, W. Gilpin, and A. Donald. Transfers were granted from R. Grylls to J. Devereaux, Taaieru Hotel; B, St. Leger to C. G- White, Foresters' Arms Hotel, Grey town; B. Douglas to W. M. Taratahi Hotels In the latter case the police, •represented by Inspector Ellison, recommended several improvements to the buildings and to the house; and the license was granted subject [to these recommendations being carried out.. , .
Licenses were granted to: A. W v Hood, Morisonfs . Bush Hotel; ,R. Smith, ; Martmborough Hotel';' Sveri ,PolMh,;GreytOT;n Hotel *, H. Mackay, Tauherenikau Hotel; W. M. Halley, Taratahi Hotel; John Gibson, Empire Hotel, Featherston; C. G. White, Foresters' Aims Hotel, Grevtow*. Renewals were granted to: O. F. Priest, Club Hotel, Martinborough; F. J. Bright, Blairlogie Junction Hotel; W. Redmond, Club Hotel, Carterton ; H. Dooly, Marquis of Normanby Hotel, Carterton; J. R. Brown, Tinui Hotel; W. Butler, Gladstone Hotel; James Crawford, Royal Hotel, Featherston; J. H. Barclay, Marine Hotel, WTbakataki; J. E. Gold, Lake Ferry Accommodation House; and J. W; Corxßngly, Royal Oak Hotel,-Carterton; the latter ©a condition that necessary work be done to outbuildings, rooms in the house, i and new and beddings purl chased.
A wholesale license was granted to M. Caaelberg (W.F.0.A.), Greytown.
