(By Telegraph.—Preu Association.) : AUCKLAND, Last Night. Speafking at the Provincial Conference of the Reform League, the Prime Minister said their opponents described the increase in the graduated tax as a sham and a delusion. The increased revenue from land taxation amounted to £81,500, mostly due to the operation of the graduated tax. The Government had spent £50,000 on workmen's homes, in addition to advances made to workers. No less than 250,000 acres of land in various parts of the Dominion, had been .settled within tha last twelve months.
