JGHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE. JOHNSONVILLE, May 28. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johngonville sale as follows: W'e offered a good yarding of extra fine bullocks and vealers, which sold well at rate rates. Extra prime heavy bullocks made £l2 to £l2 17s 6d, prime heavy do £ll to £ll 10s, light cto. £9 16s, prime vealers £2 15s to £3 2s and £2 4s to £2 12s <6d, prime heavy wethers 21s to 21s sd, prime do. 19s Id to 19s 6d, extra prime heavy ewes 19s lOd, good ewes 17s to 17s -Id, plain do 16s, prime lambs 14s 2d to 14s 9d, plain do. lis 6d.
PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: We offered an extra heavy yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. There was a large attendance, Manawatu and Wairarapa buyers being strongly in evidence, taking the bulk of theii sheep. There was a decidedly improved tone for sheep, meeting keen competition, practically the whole yarding being sold under the hammer at improved values. Cattle sold at late rates. Quotations: Fat wethers 18s 3d to 18s 6d, good 2-tooth wethers 14s lid to 15s 2d, others 13g lid to 14s 3d, young ewes in lamb lis 3d to lis 6d, good sound ewes in lamb 9s lOd to lis 3d, f.m. ewes in lamb 8s Id to 9s 3d, store ewes 5s 3d to 7s Id, good forward ewes 10s 3d to 12s, woolly lambs 9s lOd to lbs 9d, smaller sorts 7s to 8s 4d, good shorn lambs 8s 9d, 9s 7d to 10s 9d, medium lambs 7s Id to 8s 2d, small lambs 3s Id to 5s Bd, fat cows £5 2s 6d, store cows £3 5s to £3 7s, empty heifers £2 18s to £3 7s, 18-month heifers in calf £3 6s 9d, 18-month steers (small". £3 Is, mixed weaners 20s to 23s 6d, small do. 12s to 15s, vVe will hold no ; sale at Pahiaiiia next Tuesday, 3rd June, the King's Birthday.
