THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
"THE DREAM."
There will be a complete change of programme at the-Mastertom Electric Theatre to-night, when the star pioinvre is a 3000 foot drama by the Oquila Coy., (producers of "Dante's Inferno"). It is entitled "The Dream." In. this picture the adventurer wishes his sister Valentine to ? marry Count Boissy. Valentine, however, is in love with Robert Roucher, a young lawyer. The lawyer is' called away to Rouen for a year, and before leaving asks Valentine to marry the old Count, swearing that he himself will always remain unwed. Valentin© at last consents bo the marriage, although the dream of her life has been to wed Robert. This picture bristles with intensely interesting episodes,, and has several sensational developments. Another fine drama to be shown is "The Vow of Ysobel," a romance of old Mexico. It is seldom that comedies, call for particular note, but there is an exceptionally good one to be shown with this programme, entitled, "Fooling Their Wives." '.' The remainder of the programme includes:—"Unique Sutdies of Nature," "The Diamond," an interesting industry; "Southampton to Net ley Abbey," a pretty travel picture; "King Robert of Sicily," a powerful drama; "A Daughter's Sacrifice," a Lubin draena of exceptional merit; and two screaming comedies, "Brave Old Bill," and "Spider Collects of Animals." There will be a big matinee at 2.30 this afternoon.
TOWN HALL PICTURES. The change of programme to be presented by' the Miasterrton Picture and Entertainment Company this afternoon and evening will be of special interest to old and young. The star film is a sensational drama entitled "Nick Winter and the Stolen Favourite." This is 4000 feet in length, and comes fresh from the celebrated Pathe Company. The drama unfolds the story of a gang of criminals who secure Jrn, a man who resembles Nick Winter,, and induces him to steal the horse Whirlwind, from the staples of a Baron. Nick Winter r-ets on the trail of his double. Whirlwind is recovered, but the thieves escape. The horse ha* to be returned to tho stables, hut it occurs to Nick that another attempt may be made to steal it. >r"ordin<rlv he arranges to be conceal™! in Whirlwind's box. The drama Is fnll of excititiT incidents, and holds the interest, of the audience from start to The remainder of the programme is of a highly interesting and instructive character, while the comic element fs too* wanting. 'A coloured scenic describes the working of an asbestos qmaxvy. The matinee will be held at Ha usual hon* this afternoon.
