The esteem in >hich the late Mr George Wiljiam Deler was theld throughout the Wairarapa was demonstrated, in a marked manner yesterday, when he was accorded the largest and most representative funeral ever witnessed in the district. The hearse was preceded by members of the Masonic order and Oddfellows' Lodge, with which the deceased had for many years been identified. It was followed by a special carriage cwotuming hundreds of beautiful wreaths and crosses. The funeral cortege was well over a Tiile in length, and consisted of 150 vehicles, besides numerous walking mourners. Th© remains of deceased were interred in the Ctareville cemetery,' where a most impressive cermony was performed by the Vicar of St. Mark's (Rev. R. Jury).
