MORE FOREIGN LANGUAGE.
(To tb« Editor) Sir, —I thank you for the translation of the foreign language that appeared in a recent isßue of your journal. It is very appropriate to the occasion. But a friend of mine who lives next door to a French "scholar" tells <me you were not exactly correct in your translation. He says the words mean, "The more fools, the more fun." Of course, there is a distinction without a differenoe, and the application of the term is none the less appropriate. History seems to be repeating itself every day: "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread."—l am, etc., ENGLISH. Masterton, May 22, 1918.
