WOMEN MOBBED. (Received May 22, 9 a.m.) LONDON ,May 21. A orowd attacked the headquarters of non-militant Suuragists at Hastings, mobbed the women leaving the meeting, and threw eggs and flour at them. The crowd then visited an hotel where it was believed prominent Suffragettes were lodging, and stoned tho windows. ihe Standard declares that the Suffragette statements regarding huge funds are a gigantic bhiff, and that the cause will) soon be financially bankrupt. Of £15,000 collected at the Albert Hall, £14,000 consisted of dummy ohequ.3s and promises.
BOMB iX>ES DAMAGE. (Received May 22, 10 a-m.) LONDON ,May 21. A bomb exploded in the west dome of the Edinburgh Royal Observatory. A large hole was made in the second floor, and the instruments were injured. ONE OF THE PERPETRATORS , I INJURED. (Received May 22, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON ,May 21.
The bomb at Edinburgh contained several pounds or gunpowder. It was in ami earthenware ja.r, and was fired by a fuse 30 feet long. Fragments were embedded in the wall, and blood stains showed that one of this perpetrators had been injured by gas, which had been blown a distance of fifty, yards. Mirian Pratt, aged 23, a schoolmistress, has been arrested for incendiarism at Cambridge.
