HIGH SCHOOL NONSENSE.
In view of all the nonsense, that is being spoken and written on. the High School question in Masterton, it is necessary that we should again remind the public, and particularly Trust Lands Trust electors, that there is no legal powpr under which a High School proper can oe established in this district, nor is it at all likely that Parliament will grant such a power. On the contrary, an amendment of the Education Act was passed last session, giving the Minister power to disestablish High Schools when he considers that District High Schools are giving the secondary education that is required. It is pure, unadulterated presumption on the part of amy person to suggest that there is even a remote possibility of a High Sohool proper being established in Masterton. To mak>?' the question an issue a the Trust Lands Trust election is therefore ridiculous. It 'is more than ridiculous. It is a shameless attempt to trap the public and delude the ©lectors.
