Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report: We held our usual wool, skin and hide sale to-day, when we submitted a catalogue of 10 bak\s and 50 bags wool, 1800 sheepskins, 70 hides and calfskins, and a large quantity of horsehair, rabbitskins, and tallow. There was a good attendance of buyers,, and competition was k?en at full market rate®. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report on their periodical wool and skin sale as follows: —There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen, all lines offered being quitted. Prices, if anything, showed a slight improvement on list s ale. We quote : Wool fleece 8d to 9£d. bellies and pieces 7£d, and crutchings 7d. Sheepskins: Crossbred 83d, inferior crossbred 7£cl, quarter and half-wools 7d to 7fd, inferior 6£di to 63d, lambs 7£d to B£d, inferior and dead to 6£tl, pelts o£d. Tallow 23s 3d. Hides: Good cow 6 7-Bd, c.Uf 9d, and yearlings 7d.

MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:— AVe ha da good yarding of both sheep and cattle at Sol way yesterday, which, we submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition mis keen, with the exception of forward wethers, but was hardly so animated as at last week's sale, and we passed in a few pens under the hammer, though we managed to quit mest of them aftewards. Forward wethers made up to 17s 6d, small do. 12s 4d, ewes in lamb 10s 3d, empty eweg 9a. 130 weaner calves on account of Messrs Percy Bros, brought £2 4 s 6d, while others sold from 16s to 30s, dairy heifers £3 to £5, 2f-year steers £3 12s 6cl .forward cows to £4 ss, three-quar-ter bred Holstein hull calve® £2 to £3. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report on their Solway sale as follows: —A medium entry of sheep and a good yarding of cattle were offered to a large attendance of buyers. Sheep were rather easier than hist sales report, but we had a good clearance at the following list of prices:—Small lambs 5s 6d to 6s 6d, medium black faced lambs Bs, good conditioned shorn lambs to 8s 7d, a-ged ewes 6s 6d, small 2-tooth wethers 12s 6d, fat and forward ewes to 12s 7d. Cattle: The bulk of this entry consisted of 18months and 2s-year steers, prices obtained being in favour of buyers. 18-months steers realised £3 7s Gd to £3 17s, 2-J-year steers t« £5, small mixed weaners to 355.
