THE INDRABARAH.

POSITION UNCHANGED. „ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MARTON, Last Night. There are many conjectures as to the distance of the Indrabarah from the shore. Some say 400 yds, and others 150 yds, but the distance is somewhere near the former. At high water the vessel is rolling a good deal, with a list to starboard out to sea. All who have seen her say sne will never be towed off the big sand bank some distance from the shore. Those who know consider that she is over this, >and lies between it and the shore. She i s now broadside on, her bow pointing towards the Rangitikei River. Big rollers are sweeping over her, the spray reaching over half way up the funnel at. high water. No tugs appeared to-day, but Captain Daniels went to the scene with several tons of wire ropes, etc., in readiness. An attempt to tow her off will be made on Saturday. A boat with a crew of three attempted to land provisions for the shore crew, but the boat almost turned turtle, and had to return. One of the ropes has been utilised for sending packages of clothing, tobacco etc., to the shore crew, and although they were put in huge canvas and tarpaulin bags, the contents were saturated. They also attempted to land water, Irat were unsuccessful. The crew now have to walk a mile and a half to a creek. Adcock, the second mate, is signalling and sending messages all day.
