A SENSATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. (Received Last Night, 9.10 o'clock.} MELBOURNE, April 22. Following the arrest of two women, J>r Erson wa s arrested on a charge of conspiring with these women to defraud the Commonwealth of money payable under the Maternity Allowance Act. From investigations made by th» Crown Law Department, it is understood that sensational development&i are probable in connection with allegedly false Iromis claims in various States. The Government has issaied a circular, instructing the police to reexamine many claims.
